Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, as the lawmaker, is said to be having fracas with some of his media aides, which has led to the disbanding of his media team. According to our source who pleaded anonymity, the can of warms was opened when Jarigbe dropped a long message on his Media platform “Jari Online” chastising some members of the group who thinks they can “intimidate” him for benefit. “The lawmaker went further to call out some of his aides from Yala LGA who he said did everything to make him support the incumbent House of Reps member for Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency, and added that those in a hurry can defect to APC if they feel they can be made millionaires there.
Jarigbe, who was furious, decided to close the platform and disband the mediateamm after numerous interactions on the platforms. “I have taken a decision to close this platform. I thank everyone for being here. I have seen that some people are not here truthfully and happily. Let’s save ourselves the likelihood of a betrayal or spies.”
He proceeded to remove members from the group. Another source told our reporter that the lawmaker had in the past made promises to settle some members of his media group through empowerments but has since rescinded on the promises.
He has also failed to secure permanent jobs for any of his active media aides or close allies.
“Senator is our leader and most of us have been with him since 2017/2018, supporting him through thick and thin, he has been supportive nonetheless, but it must be said that he hasn’t empowered us to be independent of him which is not really okay “Yes, he has performed excellently as a lawmaker, but we are also politicians, and human capital development is key too.”
“This is not the first time he’s disbanding his media team, it is almost a norm now that few months after every election, something comes up and he disbands the group and create a new one” our source added.
Meanwhile, as at the time of filing this report, all efforts by our correspondent to reach the senator for further confirmation and authenticity proved abortive.
