The Deputy Governor of Cross River State, Rt. Hon Peter Odey has praised Hon. Agnes Atsu’s political sagacity.
The Deputy Governor who spoke during a Thanksgiving Service at the Dunamis International Church, Obudu, said the Commissioner for Sports Development, whom he described as a mobilizer, had impressed both the Governor and himself by the visible changes she had brought to the ministry in just a few months in office.
Commissioner Agnes Atsu, who was in church to thank God for her appointment as Commissioner by the Governor of the State, Sen. Prince Bassey Otu expressed gratitude to God for her new role while taking her political leaders, friends and supporters to join her in providing a worship place in Obudu.
Various speakers noted the Commissioner’s integrity, her exceptional ability to mobilize political support and her prowess in the area of sports where she is currently serving the state.
Led by the Deputy Governor, the guests made cash donations and pledges towards acquiring a permanent site and the building of a Dunamis Church in Obudu.
The event was attended by former Member of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Legor Idagbo , the Deputy Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Hon. Sylvester Agabi Jnr , former Chief of Staff, Chief Martin Orim, Hon. Engr. Thomas Aruku , members of the State Executive Council and many notable political stakeholders.
