Carnival Calabar Prepares for Grand Finale of Dry Run

Calabar, December 4, 2023 – The excitement in Calabar is reaching its peak as the city gears up for the 3rd and final dry run of the renowned Carnival Calabar. Scheduled for Sunday, December 10, 2013, at 1:30 pm, this dry run promises to be a spectacular prelude to the main event.

Austin Cobham ANIPR, Executive Secretary of the CRS Carnival Commission, has officially announced the closure of the entire 12-kilometer carnival route to traffic starting at 1:30 pm. The roads will remain closed until the conclusion of the dry run, creating a vibrant and pedestrian-friendly atmosphere for attendees.

Residents of Calabar are advised to plan their movements accordingly and explore alternative routes during the dry run. This temporary road closure is essential to ensure the safety and smooth execution of the Carnival Calabar dry run, which has become a highlight of the city’s cultural calendar.
