PINN MARGARET SECONDARY SCHOOL, PRESENTS THEIR WAEC/VETEBRA MERIT AWARD TO C’RIVER COMMISSIONER FOR EDUCATION

Senator Stephen Odey Ph D, Cross River Commissioner for Education yesterday Monday, was presented with the WAEC/Vetebra merit award by Mrs Nyong Agnes Bassey, the Principal Pinn Margaret Secondary School Atakpa Calabar South. The award was given to the winners of the best overall public Secondary School in sciences (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) in the WASSCE for schools candidates 2022. According to the School Principal, “a cheque of one million, five hundred thousand naira, was awarded to the school by WAEC.

The Commissioner congratulated the school and charged them to maintain their academic excellence. He further called on other public schools to emulate them and make Cross River State proud as the transformation of education remains key in this Governor Otu’s led administration.

On the cash prize utilisation the Commissioner directed the School Principal, to write to the Ministry of Education for approval before embarking on any project, so that the prize can be judiciously utilized, as the ministry will monitor every project done with the prize in their school.
