The Deputy Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly and member representing Obudu State Constituency, Hon. Sylvester Agabi Jnr has congratulated Cross River State Governor, His Excellence, Sen Prince Bassey Otu and his deputy, Rt Hon. Peter Odey over their historic victory at the Supreme Court.
Justices of the Supreme Court on Friday, January 12, 2024 in a unanimous judgement affirmed the victory of Governor Bassey Otu as the duly elected governor of Cross River State in the March 18, 2023 Governorship Election.
Hon. Agabi Jnr, who expressed excitement over the victory of Governor Bassey Otu at the apex court, notes that now the Governor can settle down for real governance and drive his People First Agenda for the great people of Cross River State.
He said, “The victory of His Excellency, Sen Prince Bassey Edet Otu today at the Supreme Court is an affirmation of the ‘People First’ agenda of our enigmatic leader and the confirmation of the season of sweetness for all Cross Riverians.
“It is now time for our leader, His Excellency to settled down for real governance, effective and efficient delivery of his blueprint geared toward empowerment of the great people of Cross River State.”
While thanking the Supreme Court justices for standing firm on truth and doing a thorough job, he called on Cross Riverians to continue to support the APC-led administration of Gov Otu and assured of the commitment of the state assembly in pass laws that will help the government to succeed.
