Supreme Court Verdict: Isaac Imoke Congratulates Gov. Otu, Calls for Unity

The  Supreme Court of Nigeria has affirmed the electoral success of Governor Bassey Edet Otu and Deputy Governor Peter Odey in Cross River State. Hon. Isaac Imoke, former SA Security and Chairman Anti Deforestation, expressed his congratulations and gratitude in light of the recent developments.

Following a prolonged legal battle, the Apex Court’s ruling not only brings an end to the uncertainty that loomed over the state but also solidifies the mandate bestowed upon Governor Otu and his Deputy by the people of Cross River State. Hon. Imoke lauded the resilience of the citizens and their unwavering support throughout the legal proceedings.

“The celebrations and excitement demonstrated by Cross Riverians are indications that the victory wasn’t just a personal triumph for the Governor and his Deputy but, more importantly, a vindication of the democratic will of the people,” stated Hon. Imoke.

The former SA Security highlighted Governor Otu’s consistent commitment to the welfare and progress of the state since assuming office. The Supreme Court’s decision, in his view, serves as a testament to the Governor’s popularity and the trust bestowed upon his leadership.

“This victory is for all Cross Riverians,” declared Hon. Imoke, emphasizing the need for the opposition, particularly the PDP and its candidate, to accept the judgment gracefully. He urged cooperation for the overall interest and benefit of the citizens, underlining the importance of working hand in hand with the reconfirmed leadership.
