EBA JOINS NOTABLE CROSS RIVERIANS TO CONDOLE WITH EX-GOV AYADE AS HE BURIES LATE YOUNGER SISTER

The State Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC Cross River State, Alphonsus Ogar Eba Esq JP, on Saturday joined notable Cross Riverians to condole with the former Governor, His Excellency, Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade CON, over the death of his younger sister, Mrs. Ateb Janet Oniga (Nee Ayade).

The late Mrs. Ateb Janet, who was buried on Saturday, December 9, 2023 in Kakum Village, Ipong Obudu LGA, amidst glowing tributes, died on Friday, November 24, 2023 after a brief illness.

The state Chairman, who was on ground with other members of the state Executive Committee since on Thursday to support the former Governor, joined him to receive the serving State Governor, His Excellency Sen Prince Bassey Otu and his entourage.

In a condolence message addressed to Prof Ayade, Eba said, “The sad news of the demise of your beloved sister Mrs. Janet Ateb (NEE AYADE) was received with rude shock, sharp pains and deep sense of loss by me and all members of my immediate family and the State Executives Committee of All Progressives Congress (APC) Cross River State. On behalf of my self and all the aforementioned, I herein convey our deepest condolences to you and all your siblings.

“We know the strong bond that binds the AYADE’s, so we understand how emotionally bruised and devastated everyone in the family must be during this trying moment, we have therefore chosen to put you all in our prayers. It is our fervent belief that our good lord who is the healer of unseen wounds will strengthen you and grant you the fortitude to bear this painful and irreplaceable loss while He grants her eternal rest in peace.

“Your Excellency Sir, we urge you most sincerely to be consoled by the fact that your late sister lived a life that guaranteed her a place of pride in the embosom of our Lord. We have no doubt that she is resting in Peace with Jesus and we are confident that on the last day, we all will join her and be reunited as a family where we will path no more.”

He prayed the Good Lord will be merciful to her soul by the special grace of God and her gentle soul continue to rest in Peace Amen.

Some of the notable dignitaries in attendance include, His Excellency, the Deputy Governor of Cross River State, Rt Hon Peter Odey, Rt. Hon Mike Etaba, Cross River Commissioner for Education Senator Stephen Odey Ph D, Sen Florence Ita-Giwa, Chief Hon Martin Orim, Hon. Jude Ogbeche Ngaji, Hon Barr. Fabian O Ogbeche and several other political leaders and friends.

Meanwhile, the State Chairman also condoled with the party’s State Vice Chairman (North) and husband of the late Mrs Janet, Hon Emmanuel Ateb over the sad news of the death of his beloved wife.

The condolence message reads, “My dear brother and friend Emma Ateb, I woke up on the 24th of November 2023 to read your chat at 3.37am informing me of the sad and painful death of your beloved wife Mrs. Janet Ateb (NEE AYADE). The lacrymose and melancholy that the sad news caused me gave me a clear picture of how emotionally shattered you must have been.

“The death of One’s wife is one of the saddest things that should never happen to any man because of the poignant burrows, emotional torture and associated trauma that comes with it. My dear brother, we wished it was within our powers, we your dear colleagues, members of our party, your family members and inlaws would have brought our collective weight to suppress the eruption of this sad occurrence.

“It is sad that we cannot question God but to give him thanks in all situations. On behalf of my family, the entire Executives of our party from the State to the Ward structure and all members of our great party, All Progressives Congress where your service as Vice Chairman North in the State Executive Committee has been selfless, dedicated and total, I write to convey our condolences to you and all members of your family to take this sad loss as a call from God that your dear wife could not disobey.”

He said, We urge you to be consoled by the fact that she lived a gentle, pious, kind and God fearing life that ascended as a memorial before God and earned her a place in paradise even before her demise.
