The Deputy Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Hon. Sylvester Agabi Jnr has condoled with the former Governor of Cross River State, Sen. Prof. Ayade over the demise of his sister, Madam Janet Emmanuel Ateb.
Hon Agabi Jnr also extended his deepest condolences to the Cross River State APC Vice Chairman (North), who is also the husband of the deceased, Hon. Emmanuel Ateb over the death of his dear wife.
In a condolence statement, the Deputy Speaker, said he was saddened by the untimely passage of the Governor’s sister. Describing the pain caused by her passing as immeasurable. He enjoined former Governor Ayade, who he described as his boss, leader and mentor and the entire family of the deceased to take solace in the fact that death is “the ultimate end of all mortals.”
“It’s quite unfortunate that she left at a time we needed her advice and support most. I, therefore, pray that God will grant my boss, political mentor and the entire family of our departed sister the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” he said.
The Deputy Speaker also prayed God to grant the entire family and other mourners, including the husband of the deceased Hon Emmanuel Ateb, the strength to pull through this difficult moment, with a call on them to pray for the repose of her soul.
