The Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Elvert Ayambem, has extended warm Easter greetings to the people of the state, calling for love, unity, and a renewed commitment to collective growth.
In a statement issued on Sunday, April 20, 2025, Speaker Ayambem described Easter as a season of reflection and hope, emphasizing its deep message of triumph over adversity and the power of sacrificial love.
“Easter is a season that reminds us of the power of hope, renewal, and sacrifice. It is a time to reflect on the triumph of light over darkness, life over death, and unity over division,” the Speaker stated.
On behalf of the 10th Cross River State House of Assembly, he urged citizens to emulate the lessons of Easter by showing compassion, standing with the less privileged, and working together to advance the state.
Rt. Hon. Ayambem also encouraged residents to remain committed to peace, justice, and development, noting that only through unity and shared responsibility can Cross River State achieve its full potential.
“I encourage all citizens to remain steadfast in our shared commitment to peace, justice, and development. Together, we can build a Cross River State that reflects the ideals of compassion, resilience, and collective responsibility,” he said.
