…. MAKE REQUEST FOR THE REBUILDING OF GOVERNOR’S LODGE IN OGOJA
The immediate past member representing Bekwarra/Obudu/Obanliku Federal Constituency of Cross River State in the House of Representatives Rt. Hon. Legor Idagbo recently visited the Governor of Cross River State in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
Rt. Hon. Legor Idagbo during the visit congratulated Sen. Prince Bassey Otu for the transformation of the State Capital Calabar. He said the restoration of traffic lights, street light, repair and resurfacing of streets and keeping the city clean are all commendable efforts of the governor.
Rt. Hon. Legor Idagbo further requested the Governor, as part of his infrastructure transformation vision, to consider rebuilding the Governor’s Lodge in Ogoja as this serves as a symbol of political unity of Northern Cross River State.
The Governor in his response thanked Rt. Hon. Legor Idagbo for the words of commendation saying he is trying to achieve his vision without blowing his trumpet. He however assured him that while his focus for now is the Ogoja Sports Stadium, he will find out the state of the Governor’s Lodge and give it a befitting look, adding that Ogoja is home to him.
The visit was in continuation of the 60th Birthday Celebration of the Wife of the Governor, Her Excellency, Rev. Mrs. Eyoanwan Otu. Rt. Hon. Legor Idagbo congratulated the wife of the Governor on her Diamond Jubilee and presented birthday gifts to her through the Governor.
Others who were part of the visit were the immediate past Member Representing Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency of Cross River State in the House of Representatives Hon. Jude Ngaji, the immediate past Chief of Staff to the Governor Hon. Chief Dr. Martin Orim, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC Cross River State Chapter Hon. Barr. Alphonsus Ogar Eba and his amiable wife.
