The Deputy Speaker, of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Hon. Sylvester Agabi Jnr, has eulogized the sterling qualities of the wife of the Cross River State Governor, Her Excellency, Rev Eyoanwan Bassey Otu, describing her as a strong piller of season of sweetness.
Hon. Agabi, who is representing the good people of Obudu State Constituency, made the complimentary remark in his goodwill message to congratulate the governor’s wife on her birthday anniversary today, praising her as a role model, humane and God fearing woman who is a great pillar of strength to the Governor, His Excellency, Sen Prince Bassey Otu.
According to Hon. Agabi, H.E. Rev Eyoanwan Otu has not only proved herself a virtuous wife but also a dependable ally in coping with the emergencies of the wife to a pragmatic Governor.
While wishing her all the best and love-filled birthday anniversary, he observed with note that, “Her Excellency, Mrs Bassey Otu, is a strong piller of season of sweetness, a woman of substance, hard working and selfless leader.
Extolling her virtues, especially for being a strong piller of support to her husband, the Honourable Deputy Speaker Agabi Jnr also noted that her display of loyalty, decency and commitment is worthy of emulation.
“Our dear beautiful mother, your love for the downtrodden, the deprived across the state is widely acknowledged. Your unwavering support for our governor, your husband has assured many that with you as a First Lady, the governor’s efforts will be well complemented.
“As you mark an additional year to your eventful life, it’s my pleasure to congratulate and celebrate with you on this impactful milestone and all that God has used you to accomplish not only in the lives of others but also our dear State.
“May Almighty God continue to be your strength and grant you many more birthday celebrations in the years ahead,”.
