The Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Senator Kashim Shettima, on Sunday played host to Senator (Dr.) Stephen Odey, Commissioner for Education, Cross River State, in Maiduguri, Borno State, as part of the Sallah celebration.
Senator Odey, who served alongside the Vice President in the 9th Senate, embarked on a two-day visit to celebrate the Eid-el-Kabir festivities with his long-time associate and political boss.
During the visit, the two leaders exchanged warm greetings and shared moments with family members and associates in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual respect. Beyond the celebration, Senator Odey also engaged the Vice President in insightful discussions on national unity, development, and the progress of Nigeria’s education sector, particularly in Cross River State.
Speaking briefly, Senator Odey expressed gratitude for the Vice President’s hospitality and lauded his commitment to national development and statesmanship. He also used the opportunity to reaffirm his loyalty and support to the Vice President, describing him as a leader with uncommon vision and intellect.
The Sallah visit not only reflected the strong personal bond between the two leaders but also highlighted the continued collaboration and goodwill that exists among progressive minds in the country’s leadership.
