The University of Calabar’s Faculty of Social Sciences, Calabar, hosts its 1st International Hybrid Conference 2025, featuring Senator (Associate Professor) Stephen Odey, Commissioner for Education, Cross River State, as Lead Discussant, he addressed the theme: ‘Oil Subsidy Removal and National Development: Uncovering the Missing Links and Unmasking the Truth.’
Professor Enang Bassey Udah, Dean faculty of Social Sciences and Professor E.E. Ebingha (Former Dean of the Faculty) on behalf of the organizers presented a plaque of appreciation to Senator Odey for his invaluable support as the Lead Discussant during the 1st International Hybrid Conference on the theme – Oil Subsidy Removal and National Development: The Missing Links and Unmasking the Truth.
The Commissioner who was accompanied to the event by his beloved wife, Mrs Monica Odey, applauded the organizers and, notably, the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Calabar, for the conference’s comprehensive knowledge package and the unique recognition as Lead Discussant, encouraging all participants to leverage the opportunity and participate actively in the conference.
