Bekwarra Town Hall Meeting: DG Ekpo Reassures Bekwarra of Gov. Otu’s Commitment to Light several Communities, decries the state of vandalism.

The Director-General of the Cross River State Electrification Agency, Mr. Francis Ekpo , has assured the people of Bekwarra Local Government Area that Governor Bassey Edet Otu is fully committed to ensuring electricity reaches several communities in the LGA.

Speaking during a town hall meeting convened by Chief Signor Omang Idiege, the Ada Bekwarra II, Hon. Ekpo emphasized that the Second Phase of the state’s electrification project, recently approved by the governor, would commence immediately from ANYIKANG

We are doing everything possible within our powers to provide electricity to the unserved and underserved communities in Cross River State and His Excellency is determined to light up every home in line with the People First agenda,” Ekpo told the gathering.

The meeting brought together traditional rulers, youth leaders, elected representatives, and officials from the power sector.

Participants used the opportunity to express their appreciation to the governor while pledging to protect public infrastructure and support future developments.
Also in attendance were Hon. Theresa Ushie, Chairman of Bekwarra Local Government Council; Hon. Omang Charles Omang, Member representing Bekwarra in the State House of Assembly; Emmanuel Akwagiobe Undipeye,  Special Adviser on Power; Mr. Innocent, the Paramount Ruler, Operational Head of PHCN Ogoja; directors from the State Electrification Agency; and chiefs from various communities in Bekwarra.
