Ogoja Vice Chairman Pledges Stronger Government Support for Ogoja Communities

The Vice Chairman of Ogoja Local Government Area, Hon. Emmanuel Idi Yakubu, has reaffirmed his commitment to grassroots development following a meeting with the Ogoja APC Ward Chairmen Forum in his office.

The meeting, which focused on the welfare of the people and the need for the APC-led government to enhance its impact at all levels, provided an opportunity for productive discussions on ways to strengthen the party’s presence in Ogoja.

Speaking after the engagement, Hon. Yakubu commended the ward chairmen for prioritizing the development of their communities over personal interests.

“I am excited to know that our ward chairmen are not being self-centered. Their requests are all focused on the well-being of our people and the progress of our communities,” he said.

He assured them that the Hon. Chris Agbeh-led administration in Ogoja would continue to work hard to deliver democratic benefits to the grassroots. He also emphasized the need to engage the federal and state governments on critical issues beyond the local government’s reach.

“We will do everything within our power to ensure that the dividends of democracy are felt at the grassroots. In areas beyond our direct control, we will actively lobby the state and federal governments to attract more development to Ogoja,” he added.

The meeting reinforced the APC’s commitment to improving governance, strengthening party structures, and ensuring that Ogoja remains a key part of the developmental agenda in Cross River State.
