The Vice Chairman of Ogoja Local Government Area, Hon. Emmanuel Idi Yakubu, has paid a condolence visit to the PDP Chapter Chairman in Ogoja, Comr. Emmanuel Odidi, over the passing of his mother, Mrs. Cecilia Odidi.
During the visit, Hon. Yakubu expressed his heartfelt sympathies to the family, describing the late Mrs. Odidi as a devoted Christian, a strong advocate for women, and a pillar of the Mbube Nation, Ogoja, and Cross River State as a whole.
“Mrs. Cecilia Odidi was a remarkable woman who dedicated her life to service, unity, and the well-being of those around her. Her contributions to society will not be forgotten,” Hon. Yakubu said.
He commended the values she instilled in her children, especially Comr. Emmanuel Odidi, whose leadership and dedication reflect the legacy she left behind.
“I am proud of the indelible marks she has left in the sands of time, particularly through her son, Comr. Emma Odidi. She embodied love and kindness, and I believe her family will draw strength and inspiration from that as they prepare to lay her to rest,” he added.
Hon. Yakubu prayed for the peaceful repose of her soul and urged the family to take solace in the life she lived and the positive impact she made.
“May her gentle soul find eternal rest,” he said.
