Senator Prince Ned Nwoko, Deputy Chairman of the Senate Committee on Sports Development, has reaffirmed his commitment to advancing sports, international relations, and public health in Nigeria.
At a recent high-level meeting with representatives from the National Sports Commission, Nigeria Football Federation, National Institute for Sports, National Lottery Regulatory Commission, and the National Lottery Trust Fund, discussions focused on strategies to strengthen sports development in the country. Senator Nwoko emphasized the role of sports in national growth, youth empowerment, and economic development, urging stakeholders to collaborate in fostering a thriving sports industry.
In a separate diplomatic engagement, he hosted the Pakistani Ambassador to Nigeria, highlighting the importance of international partnerships in fostering economic and developmental cooperation. The meeting explored potential areas of collaboration between Nigeria and Pakistan.
Additionally, Senator Nwoko engaged with medical students attending the Malaria Vaccine Workshop, where he discussed the importance of research and youth involvement in the fight against malaria. He also introduced Project Tourism, an initiative by the Prince Ned Nwoko Foundation, aimed at promoting African tourism, cultural exchange, and economic development.
Through his continued advocacy, Senator Nwoko remains dedicated to policies and initiatives that support Nigeria’s growth in sports, diplomacy, and public health.
