Senator Stephen Odey Attends UBEC Management Meeting with Education Commissioners and SUBEB Chairmen in Abuja

 

The Cross River State Commissioner for Education, Senator Stephen Odey, is participating in the ongoing 3-day management meeting organized by the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC). The meeting, held at the UBEC Digital Resource Centre in Abuja, brings together Nigeria’s Education Commissioners and Executive Chairmen of State Universal Basic Education Boards (SUBEB).

Themed “Strengthening Partnership for Quality Delivery of Basic Education in Nigeria,” the event aims to foster collaboration among key stakeholders to enhance the effective delivery of basic education across the country.

The meeting serves as a platform for stakeholders to exchange ideas, review current policies, and chart a strategic path forward for improving basic education standards nationwide.

Present at the event are the Executive Secretary of UBEC, Dr. Aisha Garba, along with other top officials and education leaders from across the country. Their discussions focus on addressing challenges facing the sector and implementing strategies for improved educational outcomes in Nigeria.

Senator Odey, known for his commitment to advancing education in Cross River State, is expected to play a key role in driving meaningful contributions from the state during the sessions.

The meeting continues over the next two days with deliberations set to produce actionable resolutions for enhancing the delivery of quality education nationwide.
