Cross River State’s former Special Adviser on Education, Castro Adoga Ezama, has extended heartfelt appreciation to teachers across the state in commemoration of World Teachers’ Day. In a statement released today, Ezama lauded the dedication, passion, and commitment of educators, acknowledging their vital role in shaping the future of the state’s children and society at large.
In his message, Ezama emphasized the significant impact teachers have on their students and communities, describing them as “mentors, role models, and the cornerstone of every community.”
“Your influence reaches far beyond the classroom, inspiring dreams, and molding futures,” said Ezama. “You nurture curiosity, instill confidence, and provide the guidance our young minds need to thrive. You are the reason learning becomes engaging, and your constant support makes all the difference.”
Ezama further urged teachers to continue supporting the current administration led by Governor Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu, who, according to him, has made the welfare and well-being of teachers a priority.
“I urge you to remain steadfast in your trust of His Excellency, Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu’s administration, as it continues to prioritize the welfare and well-being of teachers across Cross River State,” he added.
In his address, Ezama listed key reasons why teachers are invaluable to society, praising them for:
– Sparking creativity and fostering a love for learning.
– Building self-confidence and helping students believe in their potential.
– Guiding students with patience and wisdom.
– Making every lesson engaging and memorable.
– Being a constant source of encouragement and inspiration.
He concluded by acknowledging the lasting impact of teachers on the lives they touch, stating, “Your impact is beyond measure, and the lives you’ve touched are your lasting legacy.”
