THE MAN, THE DEPUTY GOVERNOR, PETER ODEY (PhD) By Linus Obogo

In a world filled with ordinary individuals, there emerges a man who is exceptional and extraordinary. His name is Peter Odey (PhD).
Polished, simple, amiable, elegant, and sartorial, His Excellency, Deputy Governor, Peter Odinga Odey, (PhD) wears a smile like a badge. Not even the pressures of his everyday calling are able to deform the suavity of his charm and elan.
His nuanced persona of humility, simplicity and candour set him apart as a man without airs and graces. These attributes, no doubt adorn him with every Christian grace and extraordinariness.

Hewed from a noble background, Peter Odey exemplifies nobility and typifies a man who had a bear hug with royalty while growing up.
A protege of well crafted mentorship and tutoring, Dr. Odey’s meek display of intellect and perception is nothing short of awe-inspiring. His ability to navigate through complex issues with a clear mind and impartiality is a testament to his exceptional intellect.

This gift of insight and intellect which is latent in him have been deployed in premium to serve the state as a loyal and committed servant-deputy governor to his charismatic boss, His Excellency, Governor Bassey Otu, both of whom are making an enviable and enduring impact.

His meteoric rise since his incursion into politcs, has seen Dr. Odey savour an exponential political trajectory that began as a House of Assembly member, where he later graduated from being a Majority Leader, optimising, ultimately as deputy governor.

But it is not just these accomplishments that make this ever-young Baby Face deputy governor stand out. His humility and generosity are qualities that set him apart from the rest. Despite his countless achievements and accolades, he remains highly sociable, down-to-earth and approachable.

A friend and a brother who never calls me by my name, but with the moniker “My Bro”, our intersection as friends happened a few years ago, when we both served in our different capacities as Deputy Chief Press Secretary to Governor Ben Ayade and Majority Leader respectively. That confluence bloomed and created an unremitting bond between us.
Extremely kindhearted, Odey is a man who never forgets a good deed and a one good turn.
As a man who understands the importance of giving back to society. Dr. Odey’s willingness to uplift others is a testament to his kindheartedness and compassionate nature, and it is these qualities that make him a true leader in every sense of the word in the fast diminishing leadership quality.

Beyond these remarkable traits, Dr. Odey, who has wrenched the accolades as the most handsome deputy governor in the country, possesses a captivating presence that radiate confidence and charisma.

Everywhere he steps foot, his mere presence alone is enough to ignite and inspire those around him and spark a fire within them. Odey effortlessly commands respect and admiration, making it evident why he is a true role model to both the young and old.

Exemplarily, his journey so far serves as a beacon of hope and a testament to the potential that lies within each and every one of us.

As we celebrate him today, we do so, conscious of his extraordinary leadership and remarkable qualities that continue to captivate the hearts and minds of all those who have had the privilege of knowing him.

Joyfully, we cannot, but express our heartfelt gratitude for the impact he has made, his unflagging loyalty to his BOSS, his unwavering dedication to his role as deputy governor as well his commitment to making a difference in the lives of others. These are truly remarkable.

As a community of people, we cannot be any more fortunate to have had him as a guiding light, leading the state with his boss, His Excellency, Senator Bassey Otu, towards a better future.
