The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Timber Control in Northern Senatorial District, Chief Asegem Emmanuel has commended the state government on the approval of 5KM road construction of Yahe-Wanokom-Wanikade-wanihem Benue Border Road.
Stating this in a chat with newsmen in Calabar on Thursday, Chief Asegem expressed gratitude to Governor Bassey Otu for transforming roads in Calabar and even extending new frontiers of road construction in Cross River North and Central Senatorial Districts.
He urged residents of areas where road infrastructure has been marped out to cooperate with the state government of Cross River State on the project to meet the target in line with expected outcome during phase 1 of the project.
He said the construction and upgrade of the road from the current parlours state would reduce the stress of travelling to North Ukelle and inter state movement to Benue during the raining season.
“ The governor is indeed a listening governor who understands the pains of Ukelle people. Giving us such a wonderful infrastructure in phase 1 is a commitment that shows fatherly care.”
While praying for good success of Senator Prince Bassey Otu’s administration in order to continue with good governance for the good of all, Amb. Asegem however urged Ukelle people to renew trust in the governor who has continuously shown care and empathy to the plight of Ukelle nation.
