The member representing Akamkpa II State Constituency Hon Linus Etim appreciates the state governor for his quick response to the plight of the people of Akamkpa II state constituency.
Hon Linus made this call while receiving the Hon Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure Hon Ankpor Prius Edet and representative of the Federal Ministry of Works on inspection of the collapse bridge in Mangor.
The Honorable Commissioner for works and Infrastructure Cross River State ,Hon Ankpo Pius Edet who represented the Governor empathized with Mangor Community as well as stranded motorists over the collapse bridge.
The Commissioner said he was present in the instance of the Governor of the state who’s particularly saddened with the unfortunate event and the deplorable state of infrastructure in Akamkpa. He said the Government of Cross River State will do everything possible to reduce the suffering currently faced by the people of Mangor, Oban ward..
Speaking to stranded motorists as well as members of the community, the Commissioner said “We came here as a team to empathize and find immediate solution to what we can do to draw the attention of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The President of the federal republic of Nigeria.”
The Community Relations Officer to the Governor of Cross River State, Hon Raphael Inonghu in his remark said the youths are ready to protect travellers and rheir goods peacefully, he advised everyone to keep on going about their normal business as the governor is doing everything possible to ameliorate the pains of the people.
