Omosede Igbinedion, governorship female aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo, says she will prioritize women’s development if elected.
The former Lawmaker made the promise in a statement issued on Wednesday through her Media consultant in Abuja.
The PDP governorship aspirant described women in the state as “resourceful and resilience”.
“Our women are the bedrock of our society. As a woman, mothers, wives, and relations, I acknowledge the sacrifices they have made for us,” the statement reads.
“We are nothing without you. From birth through life, you are there for us. Edo women, with their resourcefulness and resilience, have sustained our society.
“ We promise you a new Edo that will enthrone the importance of women in our policies, programmes, projects and politics.”
The female aspirant asked women in the state to vote for the PDP candidates in the governorship elections come 2024.
