The Director General of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Hon.James Anam, emboldened his commitment to the welfare of his constituents by organizing a special New Year celebration in political ward 2 of Calabar Municipality. The event which took place today, served as a conduit connecting the DG with his constituents, as he also ceased the opportunity to express his gratitude for their supports.
Addressing the attendees, Hon.Anam expressed his gratitude to God and His Excellency, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, the Governor of Cross River State, for entrusting him with the responsibility of driving the vision of SEMA. He emphasized on the importance of love and togetherness as a catalyst for fostering unity, development and peaceful coexistence amongst the people in the community.
During the event, the DG donated cash gifts and bags of rice to the residents of political ward 2. The cash donation was aimed at assisting those in need, while the bags of rice were meant to provide some relief to families.
The event was well-received by party faithfuls of political ward 2, the ward chairman and women leader of All Progressives Congress (APC) Ward 2 expressed their gratitude to Hon. Anam for his thoughtfulness and generosity towards his people. They commended his efforts in reaching out to them and acknowledged his commitment to the Party welfare.
As the year progresses, it is expected that Hon. Anam will continue to engage with the people of Cross River State, ensuring that their concerns are heard and their welfare is prioritized. The New Year visits serve as a testament to his commitment to serving the community and fostering a sense of unity and love among the residents.
