C’River Commissioner for Education Receives PTA Members from GSS Ikot Effanga

Senator Stephen Odey Ph D, the Cross River State Commissioner for Education has today Tuesday, received the Parents Teachers Association Members, from Government Secondary School Ikot Effanga, Calabar Municipality, on a courtesy visit.

The PTA Chairman, Evangelist S.E. Udoh, on behalf of the group congratulated the Commissioner for his meritorious appointment and thanked Governor Otu, for putting a square peg in a square hole for the best of our Educational Sector, noting his legacies in CR-SUBEB as the former Executive Chairman are indelible and commendable.

The PTA further thanked the Commissioner for granting them audience, because in the past an attempt was made, however it was never granted; they further requested for the approval to be given them to execute some essential project such as building of security post and fence in their school.

The Commissioner warmly welcomed them and charged them to comply with government policy direction while further assuring them of transparency and diligence under his watch. About their request the Commissioner directed that they formally apply as approval can only be given in line with the Governor’s directives, the Commissioner stated.
