Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, Wednesday played host to the Emir of Kontagora, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Muhammadu Barau Mu’azu at Government House, Uyo.
Represented by the Deputy Governor, Senator (Dr) Akon Eyakenyi, the Governor thanked the Emir for visiting him, promising to work with other stakeholders towards strengthening national unity.
He congratulated Alhaji Mu’azu on his appointment as pioneer Chancellor of the Federal Universe of Technology, Ikot Abasi, noting that the appointment attests to his capacity, character and experience.
Speaking earlier, Alhaji Muhammadu Barau Mu’azu thanked the Governor for according him such a warm reception. He said he was in the State for his installation as Chancellor of Federal University of Technology, Ikot Abasi.
He congratulated the Governor on his victory at the polls and prayed God to enable him serve well and fulfill his campaign promises.
