Senator Stephen Odey Ph D, Cross River State Commissioner for Education has received the Executives and members of Yache Community Development Association (YCDA), Calabar branch in his office today Tuesday, at the Ministry of Education Headquarters Calabar.
The Chairman of YCDA Calabar branch, Barrister Benjamin Abobi, on behalf of the Association congratulated the Commissioner on his appointment and thanked Governor Otu, for putting a square peg in a square hole. The Association pledged their unalloyed support to Senator Odey and Cross River State Governor, saying:
“You are our light and we will continue to rally around you always,” the Chairman emphasised.
Mrs Charity Ekawu, encouraged the good people of Yache Nation to support girl child education, saying, when a girl-child is educated, it’s likened to educating the nation, she further appealed to the Commissioner to continue with the good work he is doing.
After a fruitful deliberation concerning the development of Yache Nation; the Commissioner for Education, appreciated YCDA Calabar branch for the visit. He particularly thanked them, including Yache Youths, for going home to vote during the last general election for the APC candidates, which produced President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR and Governor Bassey Otu, resulting to the position he is occupying today for the benefit of the good people. The Commissioner, finally harped on the importance of love, unity, peace and progress in Yache Nation.
