Alleged Cult Activities: C’River Commissioner for Education Visits Government Secondary School Ikot Ansa Calabar

Sequel to the viral video in circulation about cult related activities in Government Secondary School Ikot Ansa Calabar, Senator Stephen Odey Ph D, Cross River State Commissioner for Education today Thursday, visited the school to ascertain the true position of the story.

The Commissioner upon arrival met the DPO Federal Housing Police Station, CSP. Innocent E. Ayabotu, addressing the students on the dangers of cultism, the DPO was invited by Hon. Obono Ubana Ofem, the school Principal.

The Commissioner addressed the students and ordered for the immediate investigation of the issue, as all involved will be severely punished. He further admonished the students to be good ambassadors of Cross River State and make their parents proud rather than indulging in an acts that will destroy their lives and future. He stressed that all involved will face expulsion and will never be admitted in any school in Cross River State.

Finally, the Commissioner for Education, promised to collaborate with the State Security Department, (DSS), the Police etc. to deploy some of their men to the school for surveillance as cult related activities will never be condoned in the State.
