In an official announcement, Hon. Moses Osogi, the Commissioner for Environment in Cross River State, declared that the General monthly Environmental sanitation is set to take place on Saturday, the 25th of November, 2023.
During the sanitation exercise, there will be a temporary restriction on both vehicular and human movement from 7:00 am to 10:00 am, excluding individuals on essential duties. This measure aims to ensure the efficiency of the cleanup efforts across the state.
Hon. Moses Osogi emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in maintaining a clean and green environment, stating, “Remember, a clean environment is everyone’s business. Together, let us keep Cross River State clean, green, and serene.”
The community is urged to actively participate in the sanitation exercise, contributing to the overall well-being of the state. By adhering to these measures, residents can play a crucial role in fostering a healthier and more sustainable living environment.
This initiative reflects the commitment of Cross River State to environmental sustainability and underscores the significance of community engagement in achieving this goal. As the date approaches, residents are encouraged to prepare for the temporary movement restrictions and actively participate in the cleanup activities to promote a cleaner and greener future for the state.
