Senator Stephen Odey Ph.D., Commissioner for Education today Friday, visited the State Library complex which has been awarded for Renovation to ascertain whether the contractors were on ground, sequel to the notification by the contractor, about their readiness to commence work.
The Commissioner upon arrival was taken round the State Library Complex, by the Acting Director Library Board Centre, Dr Mrs Elizabeth Okon, who confirmed that the Henss Asset Company, has already commenced work as their staff left before the arrival of the Commissioner, to mobilise more equipments to the site.
The Commissioner, thanked His Excellency, Senator Prince Bassey Otu and the Executive Council, for approving the Renovation work, emphasising the importance of the Library in the Development of Education in Cross River State.
The Commissioner for Education, further charged the contractors to expedite action and deliver in record time, as unnecessary delays will not be condoned, he concluded.
